On Friday, May 3rd, Callahan Construction Managers (°µÍø½ûÇø) participated in a quarterly volunteer day at Rosie’s Place in Boston. 15 °µÍø½ûÇø employees prepared and served meals to 90 women and children.
Founded in 1974, Rosie’s Place was the first women’s shelter in the United States. The organization provides meals, shelter and wide-ranging support from housing to education services. Rosie’s Place looks to maintain the dignity of women in the Boston area by providing a safe, nurturing environment that helps women find security and seek opportunity in their lives.
Rosie’s Place is one of the many organizations where °µÍø½ûÇø volunteers both time and resources as part of their Constructing Communities program. Constructing Communities was designed to support the local communities where °µÍø½ûÇø works, offering outreach through volunteerism, the hiring of local subcontractors and the purchase of local goods. °µÍø½ûÇø’s corporate responsibility efforts are one of the reasons the company was named a “Top Work Placeâ€ by the Boston Globe in 2018. °µÍø½ûÇø also supports the South Shore Habitat for Humanity with numerous build-days throughout the year.
“I always appreciate our days at Rosie’s Place, and the opportunity provided by °µÍø½ûÇø to spend our time volunteering,â€ stated Brian Dolan, Assistant Project Manager at °µÍø½ûÇø. “It’s one of the many ways we can give back to local communities where we work and live.â€
°µÍø½ûÇø is committed to building strong, long-lasting client relationships, and to consistently delivering solutions that exceed expectations. Contact us today about starting your next project.
